Transformation requires preparation, and insight requires integration.
Anima Medicine offers grounded support for those engaging in deep inner work, before, during, and after sacred journeys.
Interest in psychedelic-assisted work has grown significantly in recent years. Yet meaningful transformation depends not on the intensity of the experience, but on the care taken to prepare and integrate it into daily life.
Anima Medicine offers grounded preparation and integration support, drawing from both indigenous ceremonial traditions and contemporary psychological frameworks to facilitate deep and lasting personal change.
My work bridges the shamanic and modern therapeutic approaches. Creating a steady, loving container in which you can prepare thoughtfully, engage consciously, and integrate your experiences into embodied daily living.
Alongside this path, The Gentle Man’s Club provides a structured brotherhood for men seeking emotional maturity, accountability, and a space to speak honestly without shame or the need to perform.
‘‘Plant medicines are a powerful allies for healing, growth and realizing our true self, it is my privilege to continue my own own journey by helping create a safe, loving container in which we can meet ourselves and the plants’’

About Me
My name is Russell, and I am originally from the south coast of England. A sense of adventure and a love of surfing and the ocean brought me to the pristine beaches of Costa Rica in 2006. It was here, in 2012, that I first encountered psychedelic plants through an Ayahuasca ceremony that profoundly altered the trajectory of my life and set me on a path of deep inner work.
Central to my own practice is the Mestizo Vegetalista Ayahuasca tradition of the Peruvian Amazon. Through dieta and working directly with healing plants alongside experienced Curanderos, I came to understand what it means to cultivate Gentle Presence. To hold a steady, respectful container for entering into deep inner work with humility and care.
Over time, I recognised that powerful experiences alone do not create lasting change. Through personal experience and study, I saw the importance of integrating Western therapeutic models with ancestral medicine traditions. It is in the thoughtful integration of these approaches that insight becomes embodied, and transformation becomes sustainable.
This understanding eventually expanded into my work with men. I saw how many men were seeking depth, emotional maturity, and truth, yet lacked structured spaces to explore this safely. The Gentle Man’s Club emerged from this recognition: a brotherhood rooted in presence, authenticity and the ongoing integration of inner work into daily life.
Whether through preparation and integration support or through men’s group work, my intention remains the same, to stand beside you as you engage consciously with your Self, and to help translate profound experiences into steady, embodied living.
